With the same substance abuse challenges been experienced in Lagos Nigeria, Akete Teen Challenge Foundation was registered as a non-governmental and non profit making organization in 2016, to manage the Teen and Adult Challenge Treatment Centre in to implement various certified programs to successfully tackle the menace of substance abuse among youths and adults.

Starting from the city of Lagos is strategic to the acceptance and survival of the objectives of the foundation due to its cosmopolitan, multi-cultural/ethnic nature.
